Third Judicial Circuit of Michigan Announces New Leadership Effective January 1
Detroit, MI, December 19, 2025 – The Third Circuit Court will be closed Wednesday, December 24 and Thursday, December 25 in observance of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
The Court will be open for essential services only on Friday, December 26, Monday, December 29, and Tuesday, December 30. These essential services include criminal arraignments, probation violation and failure to appear warrants, personal protection orders, parental waivers, and other emergency civil and family division matters. The County Clerk's office will remain open to accept domestic relations pleadings and new case filings from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on those days.
The Court will be closed on Wednesday, December 31 and Thursday, January 1, 2026, in observance of New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. The Court will reopen for all services on at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026. For emergency matters please call 313-967-20
