Attorney Line
Attorneys who have either filed an appearance with the Clerk’s Office or have submitted an access form to the Friend of the Court may call 313-224-5295 or email focattorneyline@3rdcc.org. Inquiries will be answered within two business days.
Call Center
Call the Friend of the Court Call Center at 844-785-7593 to speak with a customer service representative. The Call Center offers a courtesy call back option. You will keep your place in line and receive a call when it is your turn. Those needing TTY services may call 7-1-1.
Family Assessment Services (formerly FAME)

In-Person Customer Service
Visit our Customer Service area on the 1st Floor of the Penobscot Building located at 645 Griswold St., Detroit, MI 48226 on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays only, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (must be in line by 4:15 p.m.)

Virtual
Customers can meet virtually one-on-one with a child support professional about their case to get information and ask questions. Click here to schedule.
Appointments are available Wednesday and Friday (except holidays) from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and are scheduled for twenty (20) minutes. Appointments are easy to make and easy to connect to the day of the appointment. You do not need to have the Setmore application installed, simply click “Join your meeting” in your confirmation email at the time of your appointment.
You must have an updated internet browser to connect to the meeting. Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge are preferred.
If you have any documents to provide to the Court, please have a digital copy ready to send during the meeting.

Child Support Cases
Access your child support case online by signing up for MiChildSupport at www.michigan.gov/michildsupport.
Child Support Warrants
To resolve a Friend of the Court civil child support warrant, visit the Friend of the Court Customer Service area on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays only from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Respondents should be prepared to make a payment and a commitment to make future payments.
Genetic Testing
Genetic testing is conducted at the Penobscot Building, 645 Griswold St., Detroit, MI 48226, Suite 123. Appointments are scheduled on Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Walk-ins are only permitted on Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (must be in line by 4:15 p.m.).
